Handmade in my studio in France, this necklace is the perfect style for a minimalist goth look or an eye-catching addition to an already robust necklace stack.
The pendant is found green sea glass, smoothed by years of water and sand, smoothing the edges into the soft shape that it is now. The sea glass is encased in a stainless steel soldered metal cage wrap. The solder is made from soldered tin (lead-free), melted by hand, reminiscent of nature and industrial surrealism. The spike pendant is stainless steel, rough-textured, and dangles from a stainless steel ring.
It comes on an adjustable black cotton cord (40-45cm), featuring a lobster claw closure.
This piece is 6cm long, including the stainless steel spike pendant.
Because of the amount of tin used in this piece, this is a heavier pendant which might be uncomfortable for people who like jewellery that is more delicate. It weighs about as much as a bottle of fingernail polish, or 25 grams.
Tin jewellery care:
- Cleaning is best done by washing in warm, soapy water, followed by thorough drying with a lint-free cloth. Let the cotton cord air dry.
- A polishing cloth is all that is needed to maintain a high polish.
